I named this blog "Lager and Lime" because:
1. The name wasn't taken and all my other witty titles were.
2. I like the drink.
3. It remind me of London, which I also am quite fond of.
But, I feel a bit weird writing about my pregnancy on a blog titled after an alcoholic drink. Perhaps, I could make the Lager and Lime metaphorical. Any ideas?
Lager and Lime are like ... [Fill in the blank].
(Yes, I know it's a simile, not a metaphor, but work with me here!)
In other news, I'm going on a hospital tour this evening. Might be a bit early for this, but I'm having doubts about my doctor and I figure the hospital tour is part of the equation. If I am really happy with the hospital, then I might be more inclined to stay with my doctor. If not, it's another reason to switch. Also, the hospital has a birthing center and piece of me is interested in possibly switching to a midwife. But this means no epidural. I'm not sure I'm quite ready to make that commitment to pain. Yet, there's something really appealing about having a midwife - so much less medical and hospital-y. Obviously I'm a bit confused. This time tomorrow hopefully I'll have more clarity. I'll have the hospital tour and another monthly Dr. appt under my belt.
dude... I think hormones are kickin' in and have mind control over ya. not that I've ever had a baby... but just get the $*%$ epidural.
lager and lime is like.... is like.... probably is like my favorite drink EVER. known for its skills and magic.

I'm still laughing at the "monthly Dr. appt under my belt" joke. That was pretty clever, ppwgal.
btw- I tried a lager and lime a couple of weeks ago. blah. It was natsylicious! Post partum, I'll have to have a round with you so you can tell me if the mix i had was just off, or if they always taste that nasty.
Lager and lime is like...ice cream topped with vinegar?

lager and lime is like, peas and carrots! fluffy and bunnies! chocolate and peanut butter! x's and o's! mike & ike! salty & sweet! (decidedly food-related things taking over here...) the price is right & plinko! rainy days & tea! coffee & cigarettes! (probably not the best replacement for the pregnant lady, either...) sweet & sour! (back to food) hearts & stars! cows & grass! pasta & forks! hand & glove! head & hoodie! meadow & skylark! (reach for that rural metaphor, b!) dogs & bones! pugs & kisses!
